As a Manager of Infrastructure Engineering at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate & Investment Bank, you supervise team members while applying depth of knowledge within your specialization. Exercise independent judgement within defined parameters to solve problems and meet broad objectives.

Job responsibilities:

  • Anticipates the needs and potential dependencies of the immediate team
  • Works with other teams to deliver projects in line with business requirements
  • Provides immediate team with tasks, guidance, and expectations
  • Identifies and escalates issues to execute according to compliance standards, risk and security, and service-level agreements
  • Oversees work within an area of expertise within the infrastructure engineering discipline
  • Applies relevant technical expertise, leadership, and business knowledge to projects of moderate scope
  • Adds to the team’s culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, respect for team members and prioritizes diverse representation

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Formal training or certification in UNIX Administration and leading complex infrastructure projects and 5 years of applied experience
  • Experience leading infrastructure engineering projects and team members
  • Deep knowledge of one or more areas of infrastructure engineering such as hardware, networking terminology, databases, storage engineering, deployment practices, integration, automation, scaling, resilience, or system performance assessments
  • Proficient automation knowledge
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
  • Excellent communication skills to influence and drive the team to achieve higher goals. 
  • Articulate the process and ensure the risk / hygiene / standard practices are followed by the team. 
  • Good understanding about the financial business workflows and troubleshoot the complex issues to mitigate the issue.
